Maximize the Life & Beauty of your Fresh Cut Daisies by Following These Simple Steps:
|
1. These may arrive “tired” so it is important to put them in water right away. They will perk up after getting a drink. STRAWS??? SLEEVES???
2. CLEAN the vase to minimize bacteria.
3. Fill the vase ¾ full with LUKEWARM water.
4. ADD FLOWER FOOD as the directions on the packet indicate. Flower food does some key things. Aside from providing nutrients, flowers food kills bacteria and balances the pH levels.

|
5. REMOVE FOLIAGE BELOW WATER LEVEL to discard additional sources of bacteria.
6. GIVE STEMS A FRESH CUT. Cut approximately 1” off the bottom of each stem on an angle while submerged in water. Cutting a fresh edge in water prevents an air bubble from forming at the base of the stem, which can make it more difficult for flowers to absorb water. Cutting on angle provides the largest surface area for the stem to drink water.

|
7. WATER!!! Once freshly cut, place into water immediately! Getting your flowers into water is the most important step and should be done as soon as possible! Check the water level every day to make sure the vase is ¾ full.
8. REPEAT these steps every 3 days, removing any fading blooms. This will retain the beauty of your flowers and promote the life of the remaining blossoms.
| |
|
9. Display your flowers in a cool, dry place. Do not exhibit them in direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. They should be away from heating and cooling devices or appliances that give off heat. Temperature is crucial to a flower’s lifespan, heat dehydrates flowers.
10. Keep away from ripening fruit. Ripening fruit emits ethylene and will shorten the life of your flowers.
ENJOY!
